Employers Required to Provide New USERRA Notice

Garvey Schubert Barer Legal Update, February 22, 2005.

Effective March 10, 2005, employers are obligated to provide notice to all persons of the rights, benefits and obligations of employees and employers under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Employers may meet this requirement by prominently displaying a newly designed Department of Labor poster now available for download.  USERRA applies to past or present members of the uniformed service, those who have applied for membership in the uniformed service and those obligated to serve in uniformed service.
