Huyen-Lam Q. Nguyen-Bull Receives Honor From Women of Color Empowered in Law


SEATTLE, WA. May 20, 2010 – At the Women of Color Empowered in Law luncheon, held May 14, Garvey Schubert Barer’s Huyen-Lam Q. Nguyen-Bull was honored for her continued career achievement, significant contribution to local communities of color, and inspiration to others. “We are proud of Ms. Nguyen-Bull’s accomplishments. She represents the best that the legal profession has to offer,” said Anne Preston, Chair of Garvey Schubert Barer. This is the 14th year that Women of Color Empowered has hosted a luncheon recognizing extraordinary women who have achieved career success while making a positive impact on their professional and local communities.

Huyen-Lam Nguyen-Bull practices in the area of litigation. Before joining Garvey Schubert Barer, she was a law clerk to Judge John C. Coughenour of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, where she worked on civil and criminal matters ranging from environmental cases to intellectual property disputes. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School in 2003. Ms. Nguyen-Bull is the 2010 President of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington, and a board member from 2007-2009. She is also a 2009 Fellow of the Washington State Bar Association Leadership Institute.
