Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Garvey Schubert Barer, Portland, OR

Please join us at 4:00 p.m. on November 9, 2011 for an in-depth discussion on addressing climate change in Oregon. We will lead a conversation about planning for the impacts of climate change. Some of the topics we'll cover include approaches to reducing vehicle miles travelled, accommodating changing demographics and adapting to rising tides. We will start the conversation with these questions:

  • What challenges does climate change pose for land use planning?
  • What are Metro’s strategies in planning for climate change?
  • What tools are available to planners to tackle climate change in policy making and in application review?

Bring your own questions too. We look forward to a lively discussion!

Join us for a short class and a reception – the perfect opportunity to mingle with other like-minded individuals passionate about land use planning in Oregon. Should you be unable to attend in person, participation by telephone is available. Please indicate when making reservations.

AICP .75 Law-credit CM pending approval.
