GSB successfully represented The Transportation Intermediaries Association (“TIA”) in its cooperation agreement with the PRC Ministry of Transport (“the Ministry”) in which both parties will collaborate to establish professional standards to meet China's increasing demands for an international, modernized logistics workforce. Specifically, they will jointly create expert teams focused on developing training materials and e-learning courses, as well as introducing an evaluation system geared at enhancing the professional skills and certification of approximately 40 million workers in China. The TIA and Ministry partnership promotes the exchange of information and talent between the United States and China, and centers around the principles of "sharing resources, mutual complementarity and cooperation for win-win." GSB’s Richard Gluck (Washington, D.C. office) and Leo Peng (Beijing office) – both serve as counsel to TIA – were on hand for the official signing ceremony, alongside TIA President/CEO Robert Voltmann and several members from the Ministry. GSB will continue to represent and assist TIA in legal and business issues relating to the program’s design, structure and implementation in China.
TIA is the premier organization for third-party logistics professionals doing business in North America.
