NEW YORK, January 28, 2009 – Andrew Goodman, an owner in Garvey Schubert Barer’s New York office, has been named as a fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America. Less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers are members of the honorary society. Fellows are selected based on superior ethical reputations and effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Goodman’s law practice spans more than 30 years. He chairs Garvey Schubert Barer's Securities Industry Practice Group and East Coast Litigation Group. His work includes complex cases involving disputes over corporations, partnerships, real estate, fiduciaries, securities fraud and stockholder and derivative claims, among others. He also currently serves as President of the Greater New York Council of Union of Reform Judaism.
