PORTLAND, OR - October 23rd, 2013. Larry J. Brant, of Garvey Schubert Barer, recently launched a tax blog, Larry’s Tax Law. It alerts readers to important and relevant developments in Federal, State and Local tax law, focusing on recent tax news, planning opportunities, and practical solutions to real problems.

Mr. Brant is passionate about supporting the accounting profession and hopes the Blog will be a useful resource for CPAs and other tax professionals. The Blog covers topics such as Corporate Tax, Tax Procedure, Worker Classification, Like-Kind Exchanges and Tax Planning. Larry Brant is a Shareholder in the Portland, Oregon office. His practice focuses on income tax planning, tax controversy, and transactions. Mr. Brant is a past Chair of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section. He is the long time Chair of the Oregon Tax Institute and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Portland Tax Forum. He is a frequent lecturer at local, regional and national tax and business conferences for CPAs and attorneys.
