Brant’s leadership in tax law and tax policy lead to his nomination and election to join exclusive group of America’s best tax lawyers
Seattle, WA, December 15, 2015 - Garvey Schubert Barer announced today that Larry J. Brant, a shareholder in the firm’s Portland, Oregon office, has been admitted as a Fellow in the American College of Tax Counsel, a professional association of tax attorneys. Mr. Brant’s practice focuses on tax law, tax controversy, and transactions. He is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Portland Tax Forum and an Editor of Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Catalyst. Previously, he served as Chair of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section and as the long-term Chair of the Oregon Tax Institute.
Mr. Brant maintains a popular tax law blog (larrystaxlaw.com) and publishes articles on numerous income tax issues, including Taxation of S Corporations, Reasonable Compensation, Circular 230, Worker Classification, IRC § 1031 Exchanges, and Choice of Entity.
