Jung Joins Sports, Arts and Entertainment Practice in Firm’s NY Office
NEW YORK (April 27, 2016) Garvey Schubert Barer today announced that Christine Jung has joined the firm as Senior Associate in the firm’s Sports, Arts and Entertainment Group in its New York office.
Jung is an accomplished corporate lawyer, with extensive experience in areas ranging from private equity to venture capital to corporate finance. Prior to her time with Garvey Schubert Barer, Jung was a Corporate Associate with Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP in New York, where she represented international and U.S. companies and financial institutions as part of the Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance division.
She started her legal career at Ropes & Gray LLP’s New York office as a Corporate Associate in the Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions division, where she represented private equity firms and their portfolio companies in middle market merger and acquisition transactions and private equity investments. She has also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Harold Baer, Jr., who served on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Jung graduated cum laude from the New York University School of Law, where she received the Judge Abraham Lieberman Award for outstanding scholarship in the area of Criminal Law and the Gary E. Moncrieffe Award for outstanding scholarship in the area of Racism and the Law. She received her A.B. in History from Harvard College. Jung has successfully represented an individual seeking asylum in the United States.
