SEATTLE, February 7, 2007 – Garvey Schubert Barer is pleased to announce that Kenneth L. Schubert, Jr., an owner in the firm's Seattle office, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Seattle Rotary #4. He will serve a two year term beginning July 1, 2007. He has been a member of Seattle Rotary #4 since 1989.
A founding member of the firm in 1966, Mr. Schubert has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to estate planning and trust and probate administration since 1970. He has extensive experience advising owners of family-held businesses on estate planning and administering large estates and trusts. He also serves as lead counsel in litigation involving complex trusts, estates, and estate tax disputes. Mr. Schubert has an active business practice as well, acting as outside general counsel to a number of large, closely-held family businesses. Mr. Schubert earned his J.D. (1964, Order of the Coif) and his B.A. (1961, magna cum laude) from the University of Washington.
