WASHINGTON, D.C., April 6, 2009 – Garvey Schubert Barer is pleased to announce that John Crigler, an owner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has received the 2009 Bader Award from the National Federation of Community Broadcasters.
The Bader award is given annually to a group or individual for a single stunning innovation or a lifetime of vital contributions to community radio. Crigler was chosen by the NFCB Board of Directors in recognition of his dedication and service to the NFCB and community radio and for his advocacy on behalf of community radio before the FCC and other regulatory agencies.
He is the author of the NFCB’s Public Radio Legal Handbook and is a major contributor to other NFCB publications, including The NFCB Guide to Underwriting. He is a principal advisor to the NFCB on legal panels at the Community Radio Conference, and on legal and regulatory issues facing NFCB member stations.
