Seattle, WA – August 5, 2010. Garvey Schubert Barer is pleased to congratulate John Hoerster on the next phase of his career. After serving GSB and its clients for 39 years, John has accepted the opportunity to join Saltchuk Resources on September 1 as Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer. Collectively, the Saltchuk companies have over 5,000 employees, generate over $1.5 billion in revenues, and have been among the firm's five largest clients every year since 1975.
John served as GSB's Chairman and Managing Director in 1980, from 1985 to 1994, and from 2000 through 2009. He has left an indelible mark on the firm with his unwavering commitment to serving our clients with the highest professional and ethical standards, as well as guiding the firm in its commitment to public service, pro bono and community service.
