State Tax Notes

Michelle DeLappe is quoted in State Tax Notes about Washington State Republican Party's call for taxpayers to resist the recently passed Seattle income tax measure.  While the state GOP may not be doing anything illegal by "urging civil disobedience from a tax provision," she notes that an upfront challenge would avoid penalties and interest that might accompany an act of civil disobedience. Michelle adds that there are strong arguments for challenging the tax based on statute and the state constitution.
