SEATTLE, June 27, 2012 – Garvey Schubert Barer is pleased to announce that twelve attorneys in its Seattle office have been selected as 2012 Washington Super Lawyers, and five lawyers have been recognized as Washington Rising Stars. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, publishes an annual year-end issue that names the Super Lawyers of Washington law for the coming year. We are also pleased to announce that Akane Suzuki was listed as one of the Top 50, and Anne Preston was listed in the Top 100 Women Washington Super Lawyers.

Based on peer recognition and professional achievement, only five percent of attorneys in Washington are selected as Super Lawyers. To be eligible as a Rising Star, attorneys must be 40 or under, or in practice for 10 years or less. Based on peer recognition and professional achievement, only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Washington are selected. The 2012 Washington Super Lawyers and Rising Stars appears in a special section in the Summer 2012 issue of Super Lawyers and in the July issue of Seattle Met magazine.
