Overview

Larry Finegold has been practicing in the areas of complex business and white-collar criminal defense litigation for over 40 years. Prior to joining Garvey Schubert Barer, Larry had his own firm for 30 years, representing individuals and companies in federal criminal matters and governmental civil investigations. He has tried numerous cases in Seattle and around the country.

Larry has defended clients in a broad range of federal and some state matters including healthcare, public corruption, antitrust, securities and insider trading, tax violations, fraud, money-laundering and RICO prosecutions. The range of industries represented is equally broad, including maritime and fisheries companies, environmental matters, and issues involving the FDA, SEC, U.S. Customs, Dept. of Agriculture and the Federal Aviation Administration.

After graduating from the University of Washington Law School, he was one of five law graduates selected from around the country to become an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow, receiving training for two years in trial advocacy doing criminal defense work in the District of Columbia. After graduating with a Masters of Law (LL.M) in Trial Advocacy at Georgetown University School of Law, Larry went to work as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. One year later he was promoted and became the Executive Assistant to then U. S. Attorney Stan Pitkin.
