Overview

Miriam Korngold focuses her practice on federal, state, and local taxation. She represents clients in federal and state tax controversies (audits, refunds, administrative appeals, and litigation), and she assists with federal and state tax planning. Her practice also includes advising nonprofit organizations on how to secure and maintain federal and state tax exemptions.

Miriam co-authors the Washington State taxes chapter of the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual and serves as Chair of the State and Local Tax Committee on the Washington State Bar Association’s Taxation Section. Her prior experience includes working as a state and local tax associate in KPMG’s Seattle office and serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Carol Schapira (now retired) of King County Superior Court.
