Overview

As a former business owner, Nancy brings experience and insight to the multitude of employment issues in industries including healthcare, lifestyle communities and manufacturing, and public and private sector companies.

She provides employers with counsel that includes labor negotiations, contract interpretation, employment contracts, noncompetition and confidentiality agreements, as well as guidance on dealing with personnel management issues.

Nancy offers counseling and training in all areas of employment law, including wage and hour questions, leave laws, ADA accommodations, discrimination, discipline, investigations and harassment complaints. She works closely with employers to establish good preventive practices, develop handbooks and minimize the potential for litigation. She is a frequent lecturer and author for many industry organizations and trade publications.

Nancy has been named by peers to The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Labor Law - Management, Portland, OR, 2013-2017. She is also recognized in Martindale-Hubbell™ as a Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment and is AV/5.0 Peer Review Rated.
