Barbara Holland represents businesses involved in international and domestic trade and transportation. She advises and represents clients involved in a broad range of disputes, including charter party, contract of carriage, and vessel management disputes, marine casualty litigation, marine pollution incidents, insurance coverage matters, personal injury claims, vessel arrests and foreclosures, and Rule B attachment litigation.

Ms. Holland also advises clients in connection with Coast Guard investigations, regulatory compliance and legislative initiatives. Along with her colleagues in the maritime group, she provides 24-hour marine casualty response. She has provided advice and defense to a variety of maritime clients facing potential civil and criminal liability for oil spills and other marine pollution incidents. Ms. Holland is active in issues affecting the maritime industry, and has filed several amicus curiae briefs on behalf of industry interests in cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
