Barbara Holland represents businesses involved in international and domestic trade and transportation. She advises vessel owners and operators, as well as shoreside businesses, in many areas affecting their operations, including contractual relationships, risk management, environmental compliance, and dispute resolution.
Ms. Holland also advises clients in connection with Coast Guard investigations, regulatory compliance and legislative initiatives. Along with her colleagues in the maritime group, she provides 24-hour marine casualty response. She has provided advice and defense to a variety of maritime clients facing potential civil and criminal liability for oil spills and other marine pollution incidents. Ms. Holland is active in issues affecting the maritime industry, and has filed several amicus curiae briefs on behalf of industry interests in cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
