Garvey Schubert Barer mourns the passing of Keven Davis. His contributions to the legal community, his clients, and to his friends and colleagues will be missed.

Keven Davis represents athletes in all facets of their business dealings, including negotiation of employment and endorsement contracts. In 2001, Mr. Davis negotiated a historic $40 million endorsement contract for one of his clients, Venus Williams. He also counsels clients in the entertainment industry, with particular emphasis on the music and literary practice areas. His entertainment clients include recording artists, authors, composers, producers and record companies.

Mr. Davis' business practice concentrates on advising corporate clients on governance issues and structuring international and domestic business transactions, including acquisitions, licensing arrangements, product distribution, product endorsements and leasing arrangements.

Washington Law & Politics magazine profiled Mr. Davis, among other Seattle lawyers, in its April/May 2000 issue. The article, "Lockerroom Lawyers," characterized him as "[p]erhaps the most successful [sports] agent in town."
