Roger Hillman focuses his practice on litigation and administrative proceedings on behalf of health care providers and medical professionals. His clients include physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories, extended care providers, alternative healthcare providers such as chiropractors and naturopaths, as well as nonmedical professionals. In addition, Mr. Hillman has represented healthcare and other employers in matters such as wrongful termination, enforcement of covenants not to compete, and wage and hour claims, the latter involving extensive class action representation.
Mr. Hillman has spoken on a wide range of healthcare, employment and litigation topics, and has conducted seminars on risk management. These include presentations to the International Academy of Cytopathology, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the faculty of Bastyr University, the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, and the Washington State Bar Association.
In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Hillman has 12 years of experience as a senior vice president of claims for national insurance carriers. He has also served as an expert witness and consulted on a wide variety of insurance issues.

- Recovery of $6.1 million and forgiveness of $14 million for 28 hospitals in Washington State against DSHS which has wrongly applied audit rules
- Reversal of Washington Department of Revenue ruling that payment to hospitals under federal CHAMPUS program were subject to B&O tax
- Reversal of findings of neglect against provider of in-home care to developmentally disabled adults
- Defense verdict on behalf of Nurse Practitioner in failure to diagnose pseudo tumor cerebri case
- Defense verdict on behalf of clinical laboratory in wrongful termination for refusal to submit to random drug testing case
- Dismissal of abuse finding against employer of developmentally disabled adults
