The ABA Subcommittee on Cannabis and Alcoholic Beverages Law will present an overview of the recently enacted 2018 U.S. Farm Bill, with a specific focus on the Bill’s impact on hemp-based CBD as well as the opportunities for involvement by each tier of the alcohol beverage 3-tier system (supplier, distributor and retailer).

Emily Gant, along with a panel of seasoned advisors, will provide an in-depth discussion of the Bill to help alleviate misunderstandings regarding the ‘can and cannots’ as it relates to hemp and CBD use and sales. The discussion will also include new and anticipated State and federal responses to the Bill, the parameters for States developing new hemp regulations, as well as potential changes to current State liquor and cannabis policies and regulations in light of the Bill’s requirements.
