His experience ranges from advising startup companies about formation and venture financing to representing public companies with SEC compliance, corporate governance, and other related issues. He is recognized as a trusted advisor who works closely with his clients on developing customized transaction strategies and solutions to address their needs. Smith’s clients span a wide variety of technology and emerging growth sectors including software, wireless hardware and services, e-commerce, online media, SaaS, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
"I am excited to join GSB's Business & Corporate Finance team,” said Smith. “The firm has a long history of supporting the Seattle community and a demonstrated commitment to outstanding client service. GSB's flexible and innovative approach to delivering value and focus on practical and efficient legal services and solutions provides an exceptional platform to service and grow my client base. I look forward to integrating my practice with GSB's Business & Corporate Finance practice and other cross-functional areas of the firm. Our shared strategic vision and values create a complementary service offering that will assist new and existing clients with solving complex legal issues and generating transactional opportunities."
Prior to joining GSB, Smith worked at DLA Piper, where he focused primarily on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and complex commercial transactions.
