Dan Petalas discussed the Mueller probe and commented on the Office of Special Counsel leveraging the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), a law requiring lobbyists hired by foreign governments to register with the DOJ and disclose their activities, as a prosecutorial tactic to obtain cooperation from witnesses with potential exposure.

The investigation has already brought a half dozen indictments utilizing FARA in cases related to Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential campaign.
