Garvey Schubert Barer (GSB) has expanded the ranks of three offices of the firm with the addition of four dynamic legal professionals. Brittany Fayette joins GSB as Associate, and Tinny Faulkner joins as Law Clerk in the Seattle office; Ashley Sundar joins as Associate in the Portland office; and Kara M. Steger joins as Associate in the New York office. The new team members enhance not only many of the firm’s core practice areas, but also contribute to an already diverse workforce. GSB has embraced and promoted diversity of thought, gender, race, creed and religion since its founding more than 50 years ago. The firm promulgates diversity through actively recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, providing encouragement and support to attorneys’ full participation and advancement in the legal profession and in the community, and through the programs and benefits it offers to its employees.
“It is wonderful to see the addition of these talented professionals,” said Akane Suzuki, member of GSB’s Executive Committee. “I have been with GSB my entire career. The firm’s entrepreneurial culture and the formal and informal mentoring I have received allowed me to develop a practice where I can do impactful legal work for amazing clients with interesting issues. I am proud of our culture that fosters self-determination and our commitment to diversity, and I am excited to ‘pay it forward’ with our new colleagues.”
